Past and future, sky and sea, art and architecture - with over 11 hectares of beaches Nizuc Residences and SPA offers unseen luxury.
The place is the Mayan Riviera, a resort located in one of the loveliest places on earth, the southern Mexican peninsula of

Yucatan
where the mangrove-tree coast is dotted with Caribbean beaches and white sands.
Nizuc Residences and SPA is situated on the second largest coral reef in the world, just minutes away from the luxury resort of Cancun.

The resort
features 3 beachfront villas, 160 one to three-bedroom units, 16 penthouses, 45 hotel rooms in 8 buildings with lovely views of the lagoon. These residences in Asian and local styles have been designed by Jean Michel Gathy. Units are sold completely furnished and will have yards and terraces with pools. And, like all the luxury resorts, this one will too provide its guests and property owners with a wide scope of

services

In addition, the project will boast two golf courses designed by Jack Nicklaus, eight swimming pools, ESPA SPA built on 2,800 sq m, two restaurants, one of which Peruvian. Guests will indulge in the risofora (types of mangrove trees) along wooden walks; they will sunbathe on the pier sundecks or spend the nights at the cigar bar. If they don’t feel like lying under the sun and prefer more active-like holidays, then they will be lucky to discover a wide selection of water sports like diving.
But every luxury item or facility has its price -

a millionaire price.
Nizuc apartments will cost between 1.3 and 1.5 million US dollars, while villas will be priced from 10 to 13 million. Those who cannot afford such residences can take advantage of the hotel rooms projected to cost from 900 dollars for standard units to 10,000-12,000 dollars for villas. Maintenance taxes usually range between 1,200 and 5,000 dollars per month.

Luxury with focus on natural environment
has been one of the principles that architects have abided in the design of the resort. That is why the preservation of all wild species typical of the region is essential. A natural reserve encompassing approximately 9 hectares has been planned.
The entire concept actually involves the development of an important contemporary project that bears the signatures of world-famous architects and designers. "What we create is a quality product with low density level. Because density and quality of resorts do not go hand in hand", Alain Becker, the project developer, says.
The latter belongs to the world-famous Mexican family that has been in real estate business for more than 30 years now. The unique concept for the scheme has bee created by CSA (the Carbon Smolan Agency), a creative agency which has worked with brands like Christie’s and Morgan Stanley.

Becker’s greatest challenges
has been the beauty of the region: "We were happy to get the land and we are aware that we have undertaken great responsibility not only to the government but also to ourselves. The project is a real challenge considering the magic and beauty of the place. We had to create something and yet avoid the harmful effects to nature". At this very moment Becker decided to cooperate with Adrian Zecha, who created Aman Resorts and GTM Hotels. Mr. Zecha is known for his magnificent resorts matched with the flora and fauna, and for the way he combines local culture and personal experience. So, once Zecha had joined the team, the two of them decided to draw Jean Michel Gathy, of Denniston International Architects and Planners, into the project. Jaya Ibrahim, of Jaya & Assosiates, was chosen to design the interiors. The general concept for Nizuc Residences and SPA is that the image of the resort should reflect the mix of Mexican and Asian cultural elements and yet focus on the Zen atmosphere combined with the Mexican culture.
