A gated community to promote energy-efficient technology

The gated community of Varna Strand is located in the region of Priboy, 15 km south from the city center of Varna. Each of the ten buildings will have 25, one or two-bedroom flats, which will have independent entrances. The scheme will feature two outdoor pools, roof gardens, two outdoor car parks, a sports center and a SPA. Renewable energy resources will handle the heating and cooling needs of the community. A geothermal pump will provide up to 80% of the necessary energy while solar panel roofs will additionally limit the energy consumption and will provide hot water. Waste waters will be treated by a state-of-the-art treatment plant which will operate at low water flows and will resist to extremely strong flows without producing any loss of biological sediment. The project has just received construction permit. The Bulgarian-Hungarian company Strand AD which invests and develops small electric power stations in Hungary, is the investor behind the scheme. Varna Strand is the only real estate project of the company in Bulgaria. The architectural project has been made by the team of Fekta EOOD managed by Arch. Todor Daskalov.
