The Alcatraz prison to become a hotel

The United States National Park Service plans to turn some parts of the notorious prison (close to San Francisco, California) into a hotel so that visitors can really feel the atmosphere of the island. However, guests will not be allowed to spend the night in the cells that were once the homes of criminals like Al Capone, George (Machine Gun) Kelly and Robert (Birdman) Stroud. Experts say that escaping Alcatraz, now the prison attracting more than 1.4 m tourists per year, is considered impossible (and there has never been a single successful escape) due to the strong currents and low temperature of the surrounding waters.
