Diamond necklace belonging to Christina Onassis

sold for USD 7.1 million at Christie’s. The 38-carat pear-shape diamond was the top lot at the London auction. "The Onassis family is famous for the best gem collections in the world", said a spokesperson at Christie’s. The auction also sold a jade-colored Buddha by Peter Carl Faberge.
